The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Emergency Relief Grant Fund provides one-time, emergency financial aid assistance to students for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to coronavirus. The CARES Act was signed into law March 27, 2020. These Awards were distributed to 91茄子 students based on need as determined, in part, by Title IV eligibility with a focus on providing additional supports to students showing financial need.

L 116-260 as well as the grant funds herein pursuant to section 2003 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP) (Pub. L. 117-2) are governed by section 2003 of the ARP and section 314 of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021 (CRRSAA) (Pub. L. 116-260). Pending reporting guidance from the Department of Education, the following information is being provided describing the use of the funds distributed or to be distributed from the Higher Education Emergency Relief fund (“HEERF II”) and the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (“HEERF III”).

1. Pursuant to section 314(d)(5) of the CRRSAA, 91茄子 provided the same amount of funding in financial aid grants to students as was required to be provided under sections 18004(a)(1) and (c) of division B of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act).
